MISSION STATEMENT
Women Make A Difference (WMD) was formed to celebrate, educate, entertain, inspire and activate women, WMD seeks to successfully make a powerful difference in the lives of Singaporean women, so that they can impact the lives of women and children globally.
Our objectives are twofold:
- to galvanise women in developed countries like Singapore to live, learn and become better people with a mission to help those in need, through a range of interactive activities that bring value to the participant;
- to support, financially and otherwise, women and children in countries that are in need of help in the areas of social injustice, health, education and economy.
The WMD team want to be known as a power team that creates a positive sisterhood among women, a sisterhood that births new ideas and relationships. We are united by a common desire to promote the physical, spiritual, financial, emotional, mental well-being of women. We exercise mutual respect and support, driven by Truth and Love.
WMD serves as a platform each year for women to come together via entertainment, education seminars, events, media, sports and the arts. WMD wants to improve women’s lives in myriad aspects: they will come away with new friends, improved lifestyles, brilliant solutions, better fitness, more information, great inspiration, and a readiness to take action!
WMD seeks to serve women of every make in Singapore — local or expatriate, school- or life-educated, married or single, employed or home-based. We aim to draw out women who need help to integrate into society, who seek to make a meaningful difference in lives around them.
PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy is to glorify God in all that WMD does, to love and serve selflessly, to not just say we want to make a difference but to get in there and really change things for the better, in the places we live in and the places beyond our land.
